Focus On 21st Century Skills At SAI International Residential School’s New NCC Room

Bhubaneswar: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) room of SAI International Residential School (SIRS) was inaugurated by Lt. Col. S.P Otta, Commanding Officer, NCC, Cuttack on Monday.

25 SAIoneers underwent a rigorous physical test post an interactive session with NCC officials. This will be the first batch of NCC at SIRS.

Speaking on the occasion Headmaster Amitabh Agnihotri said, “SIRS strives for all-round excellence. It is possible through not only academics but also activities laid down by NCC. We are happy to have an NCC room at SIRS, which will enhance the 21stcentury skills of leadership, problem-solving and empathy.”

The inter-house Kho-Kho championship was also inaugurated by the chief guest, Tukuni Sahu, Minister for Water Resources, Commerce and Transport.

She highlighted the importance of sports in education and its benefits. She also said that people who get involved in sports have a healthy body and mind along with a lifelong benefit.
