Bhubaneswar: Shallow to moderate fog occurred at one or two places in north interior Odisha districts of Jharsuguda and Sundargarh, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Sunday.
Normal life has been hit in Sundargarh’s Bonai due to dense fog conditions in the early hours during the last three days. The visibility has remained under ten metres, affecting vehicular traffic. “Children are also finding it difficult to go school,” said a morning walker.
The weather agency further informed about appreciable fall in the night temperature at one or two places in south interior Odisha amid the prevailing dry spell.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a low pressure over the same area during the next 36 hours. “It is likely to move slowly nearly westwards towards Tamil Nadu/Sri Lanka coasts during subsequent two days,” the national forecaster said.
