FOGSI-Movicol Award 2020 Presented To Dr Sweta Singh of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The prestigious FOGSI-Movicol Award 2020 was conferred on Dr Sweta Singh of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar at a function in New Delhi recently.

Dr Singh, Additional Professor, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, AIIMS, received the Movicol Corion award constituted by Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) in the senior category for “Best Research” in 2020 at the All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AICOG) held in Indore recently.

Her research was on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, which complicates around 10% of all pregnancies. This is FOGSI’s highest award that carries a gold-plated plaque, certificate and a cash prize of Rs 75,000.

Congratulating Dr Singh for the award, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Director Prof Mukesh Tripathi and Medical Superintendent Dr SN Mohanty said this will encourage others to do more research for the wellbeing of society.
