Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi reviewed the progress of large infrastructural and industrial development projects being implemented in the state during the recent State Project Monitoring Group meeting held under his chairmanship at the secretariat here on Tuesday.
The Chief Secretary directed the departments concerned to follow up the projects till their completion and commissioning. The project proponents, companies and industrial houses were asked to make their CSR activities need-based and intensive in the area to gain confidence of the people.
Principal Secretary, Industry, Sanjeeb Chopra presented updates on the projects in the meeting. Issues related to starting construction work over the land acquired, removal of encroachments, rehabilitation, award of compensation, forest diversion, DGPS survey, arrangement of Palli Sabhas, shifting of utilities and new land acquisition were discussed and resolved.
A total number of 10 large projects were reviewed. Projects like RSB Transmission Private Limited, Gandhamardan-B mines, Daitari Mines, South Kaliapani mines, Bhusan Steel Limited, Thermal Project of Odisha Power Generation Corporation, expansion of Talcher Super Thermal Power Station, Darlipali Super Thermal power project, Power transmission line of OPGC, coal mine projects of Odisha Coal and Power Limited in Manoharpur village, ITC manufacturing unit at Khordha also figured in the meeting. Problems cropping up during execution of these projects were analyzed and necessary decisions taken to address those.
