For 12th Day, COVID-19 Deaths In Odisha Remain Over 20

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 22 COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday, the 12th straight day the state has reported more than 20 fatalities, taking the overall toll to 8,926.

Odisha had seen 23 deaths on February 4, 22 on February 5, 23 on February 6, 20 on February 7, 21 on February 8, 22 on February 9, 21 on February 10, 20 on February 11, 24 on February 12, 22 on February 13 and 21 on February 14.

Among the new deaths, the highest of six are from Balasore.

  1. A 65 years old male of Balasore district.
  2. A 32 years old male of Balasore district.
  3. A 75 years old female of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
  4. A 93 years old female of Balasore district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease & Hypertension.
  5. A 64 years old female of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
  6. A 73 years old female of Balasore district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
  7. A 60 years old female of Bhadrak district who was also suffering from Subacute Intestinal Obstruction.
  8. A 76 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.
  9. A 92 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease, Chronic Right Fronto Parietal SDH.
  10. A 60 years old female of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Chronic Kidney Disease.
  11. A 76 years old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
  12. A 76 years old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Hypothyroidsim.
  13. A 73 years old male of Dhenkanal district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
  14. A 66 years old male of Dhenkanal district who was also suffering from Carcinoma Ascending Colon.
  15. A 70 years old female of Dhenkanal district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
  16. A 38 years old male of Jajpur district who was also suffering from Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.
  17. A 78 years old male of Khurda district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
  18. An 82 years old male of Khurda district who was also suffering from Hypertension & Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
  19. A 43 years old female of Khurda district.
  20. A 28 years old male of Mayurbhanj district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.
  21. A 70 years old male of Mayurbhanj district who was also suffering from Cerebro Vascular Accident, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease & Hypertension.
  22. A 45 years old male of Nayagarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

After reporting fatalities in single digits till January 27 and none the following day, the state crossed double figures with 10 deaths on January 28 and another 15 on January 29. The COVID tally was 19 on January 30 and 18 on January 31.

While 23 deaths were confirmed on February 4, the details of the patients were not shared on the official handle of the state Health department and this was also the case on February 3 when 18 casualties were reported. Odisha had seen 19 casualties on February 2 and among them were three children aged 4, 14 and 15 years and 17 on February 1.
