Ford Figo Major Facelift Launching On March 15

Chennai: Ford is readying the new Figo facelift for launch on March 15.

The new Figo is expected to have a Freestyle/Aspire style honeycomb front grill and revised bumpers. It will also get new headlamps, 15-inch alloys and dual tone roof colour option, reported Autocar India. The interiors too will be on the lines of the Figo’s siblings, with refreshed dashboard and large touchscreen infotainment system. Feature-wise it will also get keyless entry, push-button start, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, Ford’s slick Sync3 with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.

The new Ford Figo will come in three variants – Ambiente, Titanium and a new Titanium BLU top end trim.

The petrol engine is also being updated. The new Figo will get the newer 1.2 litre 96hp engine that does duty on the other Fords. The automatic petrol will get the 1.5 litre 123hp engine with 6 speed torque converter (no dual clutch).

Safety wise, ABS, rear parking sensors, seat-belt reminders, speed-alert system and six airbags (on top end) will be available in the new Figo.

The Figo will compete with the like of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai Grand i10.
