Bhubaneswar: Ford is reportedly developing a full-sized SUV, based on its new partner Mahindra’s XUV500.
Codenamed W605, the SUV is expected to have a different design from the Mahindra while sharing the underpinnings, reports TeamBHP.
Ford is expected to give it a shorter wheelbase and length to make it in line with the company’s driving DNA.
The engine is likely to be Mahindra’s 2.0-litre mStallion T-GDi turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 187 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 380 Nm at 1,750-4,000 rpm. The diesel unit could be a Ford motor.
