New Delhi: As North India reels under extremely cold conditions, dense fog is making life miserable for drivers, especially on highways.
A number of people, including a few foreign tourists, had a nightmarish experience when five vehicles collided with a truck at Mathura toll plaza on Yamuna Expressway on Tuesday.
Some of them were injured in the accident which occurred due to dense fog leading to extremely low visibility on the highway.
Three more vehicles collided while the previous ones involved in pile-up were being removed from the location, reported ANI.
“A vehicle carrying foreign tourists collided with a container truck this morning due to low visibility and dense fog near the toll plaza. Six people were injured along with the driver and co-driver.. they were taken to hospital in Mathura,” ANI quoted Trigun Vishen, SP Rural, Mathura, as saying.
