Puri: Three foreigners allegedly climbed atop a police watchtower in the north-western part of Jagannath Temple here on Sunday.
This incident has again raised questions about the security arrangements in and around the 12th century shrine, which recently witnessed massive eviction drive undertaken by the state government to ensure its safety while transforming the Pilgrim Town into a World Heritage site.
According to media reports, there were no policemen near the watchtower and police have launched a probe.
Notably, foreigners and non-Hindus are not allowed into the temple.
