Bhubaneswar: Former Advocate General, Odisha, Jayant Das died of heart attack at the Apollo Hospitals here on Friday. He was 75.
He is survived by wife Sarita Jayanta Das, a retired IAS, son Aditya Das an advocate and a daughter.
Son of Justice Naba Kisore Das, he was an advocate in PIL against Vedanta University which was proposed on the Puri-Konark highway.
He studied at Delhi University and was in Audit Account Services, England. However, he left Allied Service and joined advocacy to pursue his passion.
