Ahmedabad: Former Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) chairman Vipul Chaudhary was arrested on Sunday by Gujarat Police’s Crime Investigation Department in connection with an alleged bonus scam of Rs 14.80 crore.
Products of GCMMF are marketed under the brand name ‘Amul’.
The Indian Express reported that Chaudhary, a former Home Minister of Gujarat and Dudhsagar dairy chief, was earlier sacked from GCMMF and Dudhsagar dairy when corruption charges were levelled against him in a Rs 22 crore cattle fodder scam.
