Former Andhra Pradesh speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao allegedly committed suicide at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Hyderabad on Monday. He was undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Rao, a six-time MLA, had lost his seat in 2019 elections.
Media reports said that Rao was alienated within his family and from TDP and was hounded by a number of cases and allegations against him.
