New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has nominated former Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi to the Rajya Sabha.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification to this effect on Monday.
“The President is pleased to nominate Ranjan Gogoi to the Council of States to fill the vacancy caused due to the retirement of one of the nominated members,” it said.
Gogoi had retired as the CJI on November 17 last year.
