Hyderabad: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao’s daughter K Uma Maheshwari died by suicide on Monday.
NTR’s fourth daughter was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her bedroom in her Jubilee Hills residence. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and sent her body for autopsy.
Uma Maheshwari was reportedly facing some health issues, and had been under treatment for the last few months.
A thorough investigation will be conducted, but according to police, it’s likely that she may have ended her life after slipping into depression.
The late NTR, an actor, filmmaker and politician, served as Andhra Pradesh CM for seven years over three terms.
