Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, senior leader and former Kendrapada MP joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Archana, who was BJD’s Member of Parliament from Kendrapada Lok Sabha constituency from 2004 to 2009, joined BJP at a special function held at the state party headquarters in Odisha capital.
She joined the saffron party along with her supporters and followers in the presence of BJP’s Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, former state party chief K V Singhdeo and several senior leaders.
Senior BJP leaders, including Samal, said that the party’s base will be further strengthened in Kendrapada with Archana joining the organisation.
