Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was admitted to Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on Monday.
His son Aditya Thackeray, who is an MLA from Worly constituency in Mumbai, shared on X, “This morning, Uddhav Thackeray ji did a pre planned detailed check up at the Sir HN Reliance Hospital. With your best wishes, All is well, and he is fully ready to get to work and serve the people.”
New agency IANS shared on X, “Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray is unwell and is at Reliance Hospital for a check-up. He has a history of angioplasty and is currently undergoing tests to identify blockages in his heart arteries, with angiography likely to follow.”
Sources claimed that Uddhav Thackeray was not feeling well since he delivered a fiery speech at the Dussehra rally on October 12. He would undergo tests to identify blockages in his heart and arteries. An angiography is likely, they said.
The Shiv Sena leader has a history of angioplasty. In 2012, following an angioplasty, doctors put in eight stents. He underwent a second angioplasty in November 2012 to clear a nearly 60% blockage in the left anterior descending (LAD) artery. Another angioplasty was conducted on him in 2016 at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Yet another angioplasty is likely this time, sources claimed.
