Bhubaneswar: Retired IAS officer of Gujarat cadre Rabi Narayan Das passed away at the Tata Medical Centre (TMC) in Kolkata on Tuesday.
Das breathed his last at 3.13 pm, hospital sources said.
A native of Odisha’s Balasore district, the 1971 batch IAS officer was the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Gujarat after his retirement.
Apart from appointing the deputy chairman of the Odisha State Planning Board from time to time, the state government created the post of the advisor of the State Planning Board in November 2014, which was held by Das till his death.
