Former Odisha Bureaucrat Panchanan Dash Resigns From Congress

Bhubaneswar: Retired Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer Panchanan Dash on Tuesday resigned from Congress, almost a year after joining the party in the presence of senior leaders of the AICC and Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC).

Dash, who held senior positions with the state government and the Centre as a bureaucrat had joined the grand old party in July, 2023.

In a letter to OPCC president Sarat Pattanayk, Dash stated that he was resigning as the Spokesperson, Member of Campaign Committee and from the primary membership of Congress.

However, he did not mention any reason in the letter, for his decision to quit Congress. Dash was formerly secretary, Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Development including food processing Industries. He is currently president, Forum for Entrepreneurship Development.
