Bhubaneswar: Governor Ganeshi Lal on Wednesday administered the oath of office to former Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra as Chairperson, Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC).
His second extension as Chief Secretary of Odisha ended on February 28.
Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, Finance Secretary Vishal Dev, Principal Secretary Energy-cum-Special Relief Commissioner, Nikunja Bihari Dhal, and Principal Secretary to Governor Saswat Mishra were present.
A 1986-batch IAS officer, Mahapatra had earlier served as Secretary, Energy, and Chairman of OPGC, OHPC, OTPCL and Gridco.
