Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday appointed former DGP Arun Kumar Sarangi as Chairman of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) for a period of six years.
“The Governor of Odisha is pleased to appoint Arun Kumar Sarangi, IPS, Special Director General of Police (Training) and Director, Biiu Patnaik State Police Academy, Odisha, as Chairman, Odisha Public Service Commission, for a term of six years from the date he enters upon his office or until he attains the age of sixty-two years. whichever is earlier,” the official notification issued by the General Administration Department said.
Sarangi functioned as acting DGP from December 31, 2023, till Yogesh Bahadur Khurania was appointed to the post on August 16, 2024.
