Bhubaneswar: Former Pipili legislator Judhistir Samantaray passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Odisha capital, family sources said on Monday.
He was 73.
According to sources, Samantaray was ailing for the past few months and breathed his last on Monday morning.
He was the chairman of Pipili block from 1984 to 1990 and got elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from Pipili in 1995 on a Congress ticket.
Political leaders cutting across party lines have mourned his death.
