Cuttack: Former Rajya Sabha member Narendra Swain breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private COVID Hospital in Cuttack on Monday afternoon. He was 81.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed grief over his demise and conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Swain was elected unopposed to the Upper House of Parliament as a BJD candidate on December 7, 2015.
He was also a member of Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture and Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines.
