Phulbani: Former MP of Kandhamal Sugrib Singh passed away at a private COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar on Monday. He was 58.
Family sources said that Singh was admitted to a private COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar recently after he tested positive for the infection.
Born on August 1, 1963, at Daringbadi in Kandhamal district, Singh won the Lok Sabha election from Kandhamal in 2004 as a BJD candidate.
During his tenure, he was a member of Committee on Urban Development and the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
