Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha prabhari D Purandeswari has been appointed as BJP state president in Andhra Pradesh, party statements released on Tuesday said.
Ahead of the Assembly elections due to be held later this year, the BJP picked MP and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy as the party president for Telangana. Additionally, Etela Rajender has been roped in as the chairperson of BJP’s election management committee in Telangana.
Sunil Jakhar and Babulal Marandi have been appointed as BJP presidents in Punjab and Jharkhand, respectively.
Besides, Kiran Kumar Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has been appointed as the party’s Member of National Executive Committee, the statements added.
Notably, Purandeswari had served as prabhari of Odisha from November 13, 2020m to July 4, 2023. In August 2022, the BJP appointed Sunil Bansal as prabhari of West Bengal, Odisha and Telangana.
