Bhubaneswar: Former Orissa High Court Judge Justice Choudhury Pratap Keshari Misra passed away at a private hospital here on Thursday night. He was 82.
According to family sources, he was in the ICU of the hospital for four months and breathed his last at 11.59 pm. His mortal remains were taken to his Cuttack residence last night. The last rites will be performed at his native village, Bheda.
Born on January 5, 1942, he enrolled as an advocate on November 8, 1971 and practised in the Orissa High Court for more than 27 years. He also functioned as standing counsel of Income Tax.
Justice Misra served as a Judge of Orissa High Court from June 17, 1999, to January 4, 2004.
