New Delhi: The health condition of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is stable, authorities at AIIMS New Delhi informed on Tuesday.
The former Prime Minister was admitted to the hospital on Monday with urinary tract infection, lower respiratory tract infection and kidney-related ailments.
The medical bulletin released by the hospital stated that the 93-year-old leader “continues to respond well to treatment.”
Vajpayee is under the supervision of AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria.
“His condition is stable. He is responding to treatment and is on injectable antibiotics. All his vital parameters are stable. He will continue to be in hospital till infection is controlled,” the medical bulletin read. The former Prime Minister underwent dialysis on Monday. He continues to be in the ICU.
Since yesterday, a host of leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited the ailing leader. BJP leader LK Advani, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Health Minister JP Nadda also visited Vajpayee.
