Bhubaneswar: Saheed Nagar police arrested the former president of Utkal University Students’ Union, Mahesh Prasad, for allegedly abusing police officers and creating a ruckus on the campus on Saturday.
Protesting Mahesh’s arrest, some students, who are also supporters of Congress, gheraoed the Saheed Nagar police station.
Meanwhile, Mahesh said they were protesting on the campus to fulfill their demands like to open Parija library 24×7 and to open the digital library soon.
