Berhampur: Former vice-chancellor of Berhampur University Prof Bijay Kumar Sahu passed away in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. He was 71.
Prof Sahu was ill for the last few days and was staying with his eldest son in Bhubaneswar.
Prof Sahu was the vice-chancellor of Berhampur University from 2007 to 2010. He started his career as a lecturer in Marine Science in 1980 and also worked as professor in Marine Science, chairman of PG Council of the university and hostel warden during different periods.
Prof Sahu was a permanent resident of Lanjipalli in Berhampur city of Ganjam district. He was cremated at Swargadwara in Puri.
