Foul Play In Sonali Phogat’s Death? Autopsy Reveals ‘Blunt Injury’, Murder Case Registered

Panjim: Was there foul play in the death of Sonali Phogat?

The Goa Police on Thursday registered a murder case pertaining to the death of the BJP leader and Bigg Boss 14 contestant Sonali Phogat after her family filed a complaint.

Phogat’s autopsy, conducted today after family members gave their consent, revealed multiple ‘blunt injuries’.

“We gave consent to the police for autopsy because our lawyers and doctors said that after 72 hours, the body will degrade further,” Sonali’s nephew Moninder Phogat was quoted as saying by India Today.

“We were assured that a panel of doctors will look into the procedure and it will be videographed as well,” he added.

The 41-tear-old content creator and BJP leader from Haryana passed away following a massive heart attack during a visit to Goa on August 23.

She was brought dead to Anjuna’s St Anthony Hospital. Anjuna Police had registered a case of unnatural death.

Her sister alleged a conspiracy. “Sonali felt uneasy after eating her food,” she had told police.
