Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to set up four commercial courts at Cuttack Sadar, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Sambalpur.
“The state government on the recommendation of and after consultation with the High Court of Orissa do hereby establish the Courts of Civil Judge (Senior Division) at four places,” the notification issued by Law Department on Friday said.
The notification further said that the court at Cuttack Sadar will have jurisdiction over Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal and Jajpur districts while the commercial court at Bhubaneswar will have jurisdiction over Khurda district.
Similarly the court at Berhampur will have jurisdiction over districts of Ganjam, Gajapati,Kandhamal and Boudh. The commercial court at Sambalpur will have jurisdiction over districts of Sambalpur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Deogarh.
