Bhubaneswar: Odisha has confirmed four deaths due to COVID in the last three days, taking the toll in the fourth wave to 16 on Tuesday.
According to the Health Department, the death of a 75-years-old woman from Jajpur has been confirmed after an audit in the last 24 hours. The death of an 85-years-old woman of Bhubaneswar, who was also suffering from diabetes mellitus and hypertension, was reported on Monday while the department on Sunday confirmed that two patients had succumbed to COVID in Bhubaneswar and Puri respectively. Both the deceased were suffering from anaemia, hypothyroidism and seizure disorder.
It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha reported a further decline in COVID cases today with 741 people, including 138 children, testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. Sundargarh saw the highest of 176 cases followed by Khurda at 140.
