Kendrapara: Properties worth over lakhs and four houses were reduced to ashes after a fire broke out at Dhaniapada village in Marshaghai block in Kendrapara district on Saturday night.
According to the sources, fire broke out and spread from Jagabandhu Pradhan of the village.
On being informed fire service personnel from Marshaghai reached the spot and doused the flames.
A couple of days ago, property worth over lakhs were gutted in a fire at a paper plate industry, on the outskirts of Rayagada town.
According to sources, the locals spotted smoke billowing out of Sai Paper Plate Industry in Ryot Colony at around 9 am. On being informed, two Fire Brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flamed after an hour-long effort.
