Jajpur: At least four persons were injured, one of them seriously, after the bus in which they were travelling hit a truck near the Badachana petrol pump in Jajpur district on Saturday.
The incident took place when the bus named ‘Dolphin’ restarted its journey after getting its tank filled from Badachana filling station. The driver lost control and rammed into the truck from the rear.
The ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Bhubaneswar from Tatanagar when the mishap occurred.
The front portion of the bus has been badly damaged in the accident.
The injured persons were rescued by locals and rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Later, all the victims returned to Bhubaneswar after receiving treatment at the hospital.
