Rayagada: Four persons, including a woman patient, died after the ambulance in which they were travelling collided head-on with a tanker near Manjarikopa in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Friday afternoon.
While three persons, including the driver, died on the spot, three others were brought to Muniguda hospital in another ambulance in a critical condition. However, one among them succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment. The condition of the other two is said to be serious.
The accident took place when they were returning to Bangamunda in Balangir from Bissamcuttack after treatment of a patient suffering from kidney ailments, the sources added.
