Four Killed, 50 Injured In Separate Road Mishaps In Odisha

Kendrapara/Anandpur: At least four persons were killed and 50 others injured in two separate road accidents in Kendrapara and Keonjhar districts.

In Kendrapara, three persons died and 30 others suffered injuries after a pickup van carrying labourers collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw near Mangalpur on Tuesday morning.

Those injured were first rushed to the Mahakalapada community health centre and later shifted to the district headquarters hospital after their condition deteriorated.

The second incident was reported from Keonjhar district on Monday night after the helper of a bus en-route to Bhubaneswar from Barbil died and 20 others sustained injuries.

The incident occurred when the bus hit a stationary truck from the rear at Pataharichandanpur under Ghatagaon police limits.

The injured were rushed to Ghatagaon Hospital for treatment. Four of them were later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for better treatment.
