Four Killed, One Injured As Truck Runs Over Car In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: At least four persons were killed and another sustained injuries after the can in which they were travelling was run over by a car on Cuttack-Chandbali road near Anantapur in Cuttack district district on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Sher Ali, his wife Aliza Biwi, their son Sheikh Shiraz and his nephew.

The injured person was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

The occupants of the four-wheeler were on their way to Cuttack railway station from Salepur when the mishap took place.

According to eyewitness, the driver of the truck was travelling at a high speed and the car suddenly came in front of it. As a result, the driver lost control of the wheels while attempting to save the car and ran over it.

The car has been badly damaged in the incident.
