Tangi/Mohana: At least four persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Khurda and Gajapati districts.
A youth died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on National Highway-16 near Champagarh under Tangi police station limits on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Bharat Tada, a resident of Srikrushnapur under Ranpur police limits in the district.
Bharat was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony when the incident took place.
Following the accident, an irate mob staged a road blockade near the spot demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.
The blockade was withdrawn after police personnel reached and assured the protesters that their demand will be looked into.
