Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch on Friday arrested four persons for their alleged complicity in a sex racket, busted earlier in the Odisha capital.
Those arrested have been identified as Bidyapati Saha alias Ajaya of Mohiuddinnagar, Bihar; Din Dayal Rao of Kajibazar, Cuttack; Alliuddin Khan of Barahala, Pipili, and Sunil Maharana of Mahatabroad, Bhubaneswar.
They were nabbed following raids at different places in Bhubaneswar and five women rescued while being handed over to customers. Two cars and nine mobile phones were seized from their possession.
Those arrested were associates of the main accused of a sex racket, Ruksar Begum, Preeti Padhi and Keshab Sahoo. The four accused will be forwarded to the court of SDJM, Bhubaneswar, a statement issued by the Crime Branch said.
So far, 10 persons have been arrested and 16 victims rescued in connection with this sex racket, which also involved Bangladeshi nationals.
