Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 1942 on Saturday with four more patients succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the Health Department, one death each reported has been reported from Balangir, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi and Sambalpur districts.
The deceased have been identified as:
Balangir: A 62-year-old man, who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
Jharsuguda: A 50-year-old man, who was also suffering from Hypertension & Diabetes Mellitus.
Kalahandi: A 60-year-old female, who was also suffering from Hypertension.
Sambalpur: A 38-year-old man, who was also suffering from Tuberculosis.
The state also saw 3144 new infections with Sundargarh and Khurda leading the tally at 523 and 497 respectively.
