Approving the new proposals, Mahapatra directed officials to ensure basic infrastructure like good roads, quality power supply, piped drinking water and drainage to all industrial estates, both old and new. The Industry department, MSME and IDCO were asked to jointly work out details with estimated cost.

The approved projects include: water supply to different industrial estates at Balasore costing Rs 2,745 lakh; approach road for heavy vehicles and containers to the sea food park at Deras from Baranga-Pitapali road costing Rs 443 lakh; water supply to textile park at Dhamnagar from Akhupada barrage on Baitarani river; and laying of treated water pipeline and commissioning of water supply to Andharua bio-tech park costing Rs 1,100 lakh.
