The Additional Sessions Judge Court on Tuesday issued death warrant against all four death row convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape-murder case. The hanging will take place at 7 am on January 22.
The Additional Sessions Judge, Satish Kumar Arora, further said that the convicts can use their legal remedies within 14 days.
The four death row convicts are Mukesh, Vinay Sharma, Akshay Singh and Pawan Gupta.
Lawyer of the convicts, AP Singh, said they will file a curative petition in the Supreme Court.
The mother of the 2012 Delhi gang-rape and murder case victim had earlier moved the Supreme Court opposing the plea filed by one of the four death-row convicts, seeking review of its 2017 judgment awarding him death penalty.
On July 9 last year, the top court had dismissed the review pleas filed by the other three convicts — Mukesh (30), Pawan Gupta (23) and Vinay Sharma (24).
The 23-year-old girl was brutally gangraped by six men on a moving bus on December 16, 2012. She later succumbed to her injuries.
While the main accused, Ram Singh, allegedly committed suicide in Tihar Jail during the trial, another accused was sent to a reform facility and released after three years since he was a minor at the time of the incident.
