Cuttack: A day after two nurses were found infected, Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer here on Monday saw six more persons, including four patients of the hospital, testing positive for COVID-19.
Briefing the media here, chief district medical officer (CDMO), Cuttack, Satyabrat Chhotray said that the four patients were undergoing treatment at the hospital. An attendant and a staffer of the Aahaar Centre inside the hospital premises have also been infected.
The two nurses had contracted the virus from a cancer patient of Ganjam district, who was admitted to the emergency ward of the hospital on June 19. He tested positive for COVID-19 on June 24.
