Bhubaneswar: The Government Railway Police (GRP) busted a ganja smuggling racket on Sunday night and seized four quintals of ganja worth more than Rs 40 lakh. Two agents were arrested in this connection.
The two accused were identified as Sagar Pradhan and Santosh Sahu from Polsara area in Ganjam.
According to sources, the duo was carrying cannabis to Delhi in the garb of cashew parcels. GRP personnel caught the accused while they were waiting for the train.
Later, they found the ganja hidden in the parcel they were carrying.
Two mobile phones and an ATM card were seized from their possession. However, the mastermind is absconding.
GRP officials said they have launched an investigation to nab the mastermind.
