Puri: The services of four government school teachers have been terminated in Odisha’s Puri district for getting the jobs by furnishing fake educational certificates,
The dismissed teachers were working in different schools in Krushnaprasad block of the district, sources said on Tuesday.
The teachers have been identified as Satyasundar Biswal of Jharisahi school, Suresh Chandra Palai of Biripadar school, Soudamini Pradhan of Ora school and Nanda Kishore Sethy of Charchika school.
While the B.Ed certificates furnished by three of the teachers were found to be fake, the B.Sc certificate submitted by Satyasundar Biswal was fake.
Following complaints received against these teachers, the matter was probed and their certificates were thoroughly examined. After it was found that these teachers had submitted fake certificates, district education officer (DEO) ordered dismissal of their services.
This apart, the matter has also been referred to the crime branch of state police for further action, the sources added.
