Rayagada: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped at Chatikona village near Bisamakatak in Rayagada district.
The matter came to light when the girl’s mother lodged a police complaint on Thursday.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred when the girl was alone at home on July 17. Two boys of the same village entered the house and raped her.
The victim’s mother first tried to resolve the matter in the village, but in vain. Then, she decided to approach police.
Police said they have detained the two boys accused of the crime and interrogating them.
