Jajpur: The toll in the Kharasrota river tragedy in Odisha’s Jajpur district rose to four on Saturday after two more bodies were recovered. One body was fished out in the morning, while another body was recovered in the afternoon.
Seven youths were swept away in the river at Badasuanar village while they were taking bath after playing colours on Thursday afternoon.
The bodies of two youths were fished out on Thursday. Another person was rescued and admitted to the district headquarters hospital. He was later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Search operation is under way for the other missing youths, who are feared to have drowned.
