Jagatsinghpur: With the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections around the corner, the Odisha Congress has started the process of framing its election manifesto.
As part of this exercise, a team lead by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik visited Jagatsinghpur district on Monday.
The team, accompanied by the Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare minister TS Singhdeo and local Congress MLA, Ranjib Biswal, interacted with the people of various communities to seek their opinion.
“Since the manifesto of the Congress will be the people’s manifesto, we will prepare it on the basis of the opinion of the people. We will seek the opinion of the Dalits, Adivasis, women, minorities, youths, students, unorganized labourers, farmers and sharecroppers to figure out their basic problems and issues and prepare the manifesto accordingly,” the OPCC president told the media.
Notably, The Odisha Congress had launched a new portal https://congressmyvoice.com on January 14 to seek people’s opinion for preparing the poll manifesto.
