Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to get a second batch of coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday,
As per reports, the second consignment of 3,34,500 doses of Covishield vaccine of Serum Institute of India’s (SII) will be arriving in the capital on Tuesday.
With this, all healthcare beneficiaries will be covered in the State, which had earlier received 4.28 lakh doses.
Odisha Government plans to complete the registration process for frontline workers by January 25.
Earlier in the day, Director (Health and Family Welfare) Bijay Panigrahi informed that out of around 1.92 lakh health workers in Odisha, 13,890 have been vaccinated so far. As for the remaining 1.78 lakh health workers, the number of sessions has been increased to 1,698 to complete the first-phase of vaccination by January 25, he added.
“As decided, there will be 192 sessions on January 19 (Tuesday), 92 on January 20 (Wednesday), 436 on January 21 (Thursday), 141 on January 22 (Friday), 178 on January 23 (Saturday) and 279 on January 25 (Monday),” he informed.
