Fresh Western Disturbance To Trigger Rain, Thunderstorm & Squall@50Kmph In Odisha Till April 1

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind till April 1 morning under the influence of a fresh western disturbance, which is likely to impact the state around March 30, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.

Interior and coastal districts are likely to experience rain on March 30 and several places on March 31. However, there will be no large change in the day temperature during the next 3-4 days.

According to the extended weather forecast, two fresh active western disturbance ( one from March 30 to April 2 and another from April 2 to April 4) and their associated induced cyclonic circulations are likely to trigger thunderstorm/hailstorm/lightning in eastern India, during many days of the week. Isolated to scattered rain/thunderstorm activity with lightning and gusty surface wind 40-50 kmph is very likely in Odisha till March 30 and again in the subsequent week.
