From Farm To Priyanka Chopra’s Instagram Story: UP Woman’s English Videos Get Celebrity Boost

Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh-based English content creator Yashoda Lodhi, popularly known as ‘English With Dehati Madam’, has received a major celebrity boost after Priyanka Chopra shared one of her videos on Instagram Story.

The recognition came after Yashoda filmed an English-learning video while working on her farm. She said her husband had scolded her for recording it, but she went ahead and posted the video on Instagram.

Yashoda soon learnt that Priyanka had shared her video, giving her content a wider audience.

“And then something truly unexpected happened,” she said.

Yashoda later posted a video expressing her gratitude to Priyanka and calling the shout-out a special moment in her journey.

“Priyanka Chopra Jonas ma’am shared my video on her story, and she has made my day really special for me,” Yashoda said.

Following Priyanka’s shout-out, Yashoda’s social media following surged, with her Instagram audience crossing 583,000 followers. Her YouTube channel has also surpassed 400,000 subscribers.

In the caption, Yashoda revealed that she does not have a television at home and does not closely follow celebrities.

As a result, she initially remained unaware of the attention her videos were receiving from well-known personalities.

“From a village girl working in her fields to seeing my small piece of content to reach someone I admire so much. The moment is truly special. A very special thank you to Priyanka Chopra Jonas ma’am for… appreciating, noticing and for sharing my work. Your small gesture, your one small gesture has given me immense happiness and motivation to keep moving, keep working, keep learning and keep creating and keep being myself so friends, I would say only one thing never underestimate your small efforts, you never know who is watching,” she added.

Priyanka Chopra’s shout-out was not the only celebrity recognition Yashoda received.

Mrunal Thakur also shared one of her videos on Instagram and praised her efforts, while Abhay Deol and R Madhavan have also shown their support.

Yashoda has gained popularity for her easy and relatable approach to teaching spoken English. Having studied up to Class 12, she creates content aimed at helping people, especially those from rural and Hindi-speaking communities, improve their confidence in English.
